I work for an incredibly supportive and close-knit small company, where I happen to be the only Jew. (I'm in an OOT community.) I have worked here for 2 years. They have been beyond accommodating for the Jewish holidays and for taking considerable time off for fertility treatments, even though my absences really affected the rest of the team. (BH I am now in my first trimester of preganancy, which they know, because without their understanding and support I wouldn't have been able to go through such intensive treatments.) Even after all that they've supported me with and while knowing that I'm making Aliyah this summer, they still were generous in their bonuses and raises these past few months. I really couldn't ask to work for a better team.

So, in my last few weeks prior to making Aliyah, I was wondering if it would be appropriate to either gift them something or just leave them a note that expresses my gratitude for everything. I was wondering if anyone out here had experienced a similar situation in which you left a company on such great terms, and perhaps gave them a parting gift.

Thanks!

Usually, the rule is "gift down", I.e. the employer gives employees gifts, not the other way around.

Thank you cards are always appropriate.

A small gift, or a cake, on your last day, might be nice, but don't go overboard.

I think a note is lovely.
I would buy something for the whole office like chocolates or desserts etc as a good bye gift

A heartfelt letter of appreciation and a gift for the whole team would be most appropriate. A separate note of appreciation to the boss wouldn't be incorrect, either.
