We, dh myself and 3 children ages 12 - 5 are concidering visiting Boston during july 4th break.
Any attraction suggestions?
Kosher eateries?

the kosher food there is TERRIBLE I mean really horrible. there's one half decent pizza shop where literally just the pizza is ok. bagel store is also okay for just bagels. everything else is really awful. pretty surprising considering the large jewish community in brookline but don't go there expecting good food.
no I am not a spoiled new yorker, in fact I lived there for a year. just telling you this because if you pack some hot dogs and make a grill you will all be happier. last time I went the kosher grocery store (incredibly overpriced) was closed, idk if it's open now.
that said boston is a gorgeous city, one of my favorites.

free tours by foot - freedom trail
there's a great fb group called "jewish girls travel" join it

If you're going with kids the science museum is excellent, along with the duck tour that leaves from there. The children's museum is also very good, as is the aquarium. You can also go to a reenactment of the Boston Tea Party which is education and lots of fun.

Lodging there is quite expensive. If you can find something affordable, the Coolidge Corner area is great because it's near kosher restaurants, shuls, and T (subway) and bus lines. Cambridge is also very charming, near Harvard Square.
