I read that by 2 months old, babies prefer to look at faces more than anything else. My baby is this age and while she does make eye contact and track my face sometimes, she does not seem to prefer looking at faces over other things. She does smile but more when we touch/play/talk to her. I'm worried. I told my Doctir and he said she's still young but to keep an eye on it. Please tell me when your baby began showing interest in faces, having long steady eye contact with you, and smiling when you looked at him or her.

It's almost as if she hasn't read the book and therefore doesn't know what she's expected to prefer Have her do her homework!!
Seriously though, If she does make eye contact, and does smile, she's doing great. 2 months is very little.
