I don't really want to ask this question from a rabbi because it's kind of embarrassing, but I bought sugar wax with all natural ingredients. It's made of sugar, honey, water, citric acid, propolis and herb extract by an Israeli company. If it gets on my hands, I just lick it off, because as a cosmetic product I can't imagine it being mixed with anything non kosher and it's considered an inedible object, which doesn't have to be kosher anyways. Am I right? Is it ok to do that?

Ask your local kashrus authority.

What's the company? I can check the jar I have sitting around if it's the same manufacturer- they might only bother with a hechsher in Israel. Either way, jewwoman's suggestion is probably a good idea.

Mine is the same brand. I checked- no hechsher- but it also says pretty clearly not to use on your face and not to swallow it. I wouldn't- they probably don't have to test as stringently for bacterial contamination.

Forget kashrut, I'm not sure why you would want to taste it. Is it marketed as edible? If not, then don't eat it
