. I have a question about the part of the speech when the boy/ girl speaks affectionanlty and endearingly about his /her parents and siblings. Who guides the writing in that section? A grandmother, aunt or uncle? Wife helps kid write about hsband and vice versa?
I'm new at this...

In my family, the kids wrote that part themselves. They also learned with dh and wrote the dvar Torah part together.

That's nice that they wrote it on their own , I'm nervous they wine know how to state things and be sensitive to what we can say about siblings, and what would've uncomfortable .

You can always look it over afterwards.

It probably depends on the child. Maybe they should start planning it on their own, while you retain editing rights to cut out anything that might be inappropriate?
