Anyone have the apple noodle kugel recipe from the old lubavitch cookbook (not the newer purple one, the blue one with the yellow jacket from like 30 years ago)?
I can't find it and promised someone I would make it for them for shabbos. Thank you!!

You knew somebody here would have a copy of the earlier addition of "The Spice and Spirit" with the Michael Muchnik illustrations! It's too bad I only saw your request today. I hope you will still have an opportunity to use the recipe.
from "The Spice and Spirit of Kosher-Jewish Cooking" by Lubavitch Women's Organization - Junior Division, distributed by Bloch Publishing Company, Inc. 1977 edition
Apple-Lokshen Kugel (Sweet)
1 8-ounce package medium egg noodles
1/4 cup melted margarine or oil
4 eggs, beaten
3 medium apples
1/4 cup dark seedless raisins (optional)
1/4 cup sugar (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Cook and drain noodles and put in a large bowl. Stir in margarine and eggs.
Peel and chop apples. If using raisins, rinse in hot water and drain. Combine all ingred-
ients together, add seasoning and mix well.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour kugel mixture into a greased 9" x 13" baking pan. Bake for 40 minutes to 1 hour or until lightly browned. Makes 12 pieces.
Note: For extra softness add another 2 eggs.
Variation: Pineapple Kugel
Replace apples and raisins with one 16 ounce can crushed pineapple. Add an additional 1/2-3/4 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
