Like everywhere else, different cities have different tax rates. Florida is a very large state, and property taxes vary by city.

Also, while there is no state income tax, all other income taxes apply.

States tax an individuals income. There may also be sales tax. Some states also waive property/income taxes in areas for teachers, police, fire and medical personnel. This usually happens in areas where communities are underserved.

Salaries are also generally lower than in New York, so the trade off may not be worth it.

Underserved areas may be metro inner cities or rural areas which have small pools of these qualified professionals to fill open positions. In order to recruit these professionals certain incentives are put into place. Zero property taxes have historically been used as incentives. It is my understanding that today this is more common in rural areas.

I know it was subtle but the "..." I included was alluding to that. 🙂. It was a hat tip (well more of a wink) to the poster I quoted.

That works in cities like Lkwd. Where zoning is slack or nonexistent.
