How much do you want to spend? Do you want to rent, buy, sew?

I can't really sew. I would prefer to spend no more than $200.

Bloomingdales, Macys, Lord and Taylor all have beautiful gowns by Tadashi Shoji and Adrian Arpel on sale
The only problem is they haven't really come out with something new in about 4 yrs, so EVERYONE, has the same dress in different colors and very little different variation.
If you don't mind run of the mill, they are very pretty. I got my Tadashi Shoji from Bloomingdales 3 yrs ago for $180, and that's that I accidentally missed a big sale the week before that would have given me another 40% off.
I spent another $50 to get it altered. Lifted from the shoulders, shortened and the back filled in. It already had long sleeves.
