Sounds like it might not be allowed because like tattooing, but maybe it is?
Of course I would not pasken from Rabbi Imamother but I'm curious if anyone here has discussed with a Rov (before I call my Rov sounding like....)
If so, please mention what stream this Rov affiliates with.

I heard this question asked in a shiur. The answer was no it's not allowed, with exception of particular circumstances where a Rav has to be consulted . For example : Someone has a certain deformity that tattoo make up can improve . Not someone who for example has blond eye brows and wants to go darker . This was from a RW yeshivish Rav.

What's the difference between permanent makeup (which as I understand it, lasts a few years before fading) and semi permanent makeup?

I'm wondering particularly about MICROBLADING. IT is supposed to be only for about 2 years and is NOT permanent. Is that ok according to Halacha?? anybody know?

There might be a problem with mikva especially at the end of 2 years when it starts fading.

I just did microbladding. I asked my rav and was shocked that he said it was ok. He said it was ok because it's not permanent. We are yeshivahish

Are you at a mikvah stage in life? I was under the impression the issue was more about chatzitza than tattoo.

I assumed because it is NOT permanent it would be ok.
What about permanent tats on breast reconstruction surgery after cancer?
Can you tattoo a nipple?

OP here. Post-mikvah age so chatzitzah is not an issue for me.
I don't even know what microblading is.
