Does anyone know anything about Givat Shmuel? How big of a city? Mostly apartment buildings or houses? Mostly dati or mostly secular? Is it a good place for olim? Good schools for olim?

I don't live there but since no one else has answered I will tell you what I know from people there.
It's a small to medium city but right in the middle of everything. Mostly apartments, including new high rises. There are quite a few olim but many are younger. My friends there are singles and young couples, no children, so I can't answer about the schools, though there are both mamad and secular. The population is mixed.

We have family there.
Good schools. The city is home to many Bar-Ilan U professors.
Apartments and "du-mishpachti" houses.
