Dd needs a car for work, starting September.
She doesn't have one yet, though we are beginning to plan ahead:
I've never had a car so am clueless.
Might there be a reason to register the vehicle to her name, or my name? I got a license many moons ago, and it's current, but I have not been at a wheel in 15 years.
What should she look for in a car?
I feel overwhelmed at the options!
She wants to spend the least amount possible. And as she's a very new driver - passed her road test last week- what should we take into consideration ?
Thanks for helping me out with this stressful decision!

Best car for a new driver is a sedan as they are solid and easy to drive.
Best nit to get a new car as a new driver will inevitably get dings.
If she is of age and going to be the owner and driver, no reason not to have registration in her name.
What is her budget? Consumer Reports has a car issue and they have suggestions for best cars at various price points.

Thanks for the info.
I'm in NYC. I'll be paying the monthly fees associated with a car, that's why I wasn't clear about the registration.
She's not earning money yet. But is hoping her new venture will yield an income. My budget is tight. I'm looking for the least expensive.
