My 11 year old daughter wears a training bra. She is developed enough to move to a cup bra. Problem is, she refuses. She says almost no one in her class wears a bra yet (she's one of the oldest in her class) I'm looking for something that has cups but looks like a sports bra because she will not wear the standard bra closure in back and it also can't have the adjustable clips in the back because she thinks it shows through clothing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would let her be unless she looks terrible, then I'd explain to her that it's gonna make her look better.

How developed are you talking about?
If she is a B or less then she can easily wear sports bras always. If she is bigger then she might need a more supportive one but you can still find one.
Sports bras are perfect for this age. Honestly even adults wear sports bras and they make sports bras for every size. She doesn't need to look curvy. If she looks flattened because of a sports bra that's easier for this age anyway.

Stick with a sports bra. Not a training bra.

I wnt to public school for middle school. My friends and I resisted bras quite late, 14 15 we just liked to wear a top possibly with a tee shirt under or whatever... Let her be. it's her body (I never use that dramatic phrase but here it seems very fitting)

I wore sports bras for most of my teen years. They do make ones with cup-like lining inside a sports bra base. Look at Champion and Hanes (check their websites).

Sports bras are very bad for you, especially if you need support. My sister was a D when she was 11, and by 13 was a DDD. She complained a lot about having bo0bs bigger than her teachers, but she agreed to wear a bra- as she understood it was better for her body. My mom presented it like a necessity. You wear underwear, you wear a bra. There was no "my friends don't do that". No one carea about your friends, it's a necessity like glasses. Not everyone has those....

Genie bra! No hardware or show-thru, very flexible cups for in-between sizing. Definitely adequate support for a B-cup; not sure about larger sizes, although they do sell them. The straps sit farther apart on the shoulders than those of a sports bra, so no fear of exposure at the neckline, but never slip down, at least IME. (Personally, I find sports bra straps creep so far up my neck that they show even under normal tsniusdik tops). I hope this helps!
