The strangest thing happened - I did a white load the same way I always do, same detergent and whitener, same machine setting. The load contained dh Undershirts and my white shells 2 of which were worn once. All the armpits of the Undershirts and shells came out yellow 
My white shells usually start getting yellow after like a year of use...
ANY advice?

Spray oxi clean and leave it for a few minutes and wash it again. For the future: putting baby powder there is supposed to prevent armpit stains

I've never used to the oxi clean spray but I was going to suggest soaking it in a bucket (or sink) with warm water and a big scoop of the oxi clean powder.
