My vort (over 10yrs ago) had large glass vases with floating candles and greenery around the bottom with goldfish swimming around inside.
The punch bowls had dry ice for a really cool effect. (Thanks big bro!)

Unless you're the goldfish.
What I've seen a lot lately is having floral arrangements in/on top of high glass pillars on half the tables, and the same pillars with floating candles and greenery on the other half.
