I've heard of the name Brany and I'm assuming it's from Brana. Does anyone know what Brana means?

It's a variant form of Brayna/Bryna/Breina/Braina/Bruna/Brendel and several dozen other variations, all of which mean "brown".

I was under the impression it meant brunette. A name a mother might call her little girl. A flower(bluma), a rose(raizel), a dove(taibeh), my little brunette.
