I want this bathroom to have a WOW factor.
Tiling floor and wall putting in new toilet, vanity, etc.
Entire bathroom completely redone

What colors are in?

Is glitzy/blingy, like crystal chandeliers, in or outdated.

What's in for wall tiles?

Please post pics.
TIA

What do you like? You are the one who will see it everyday.

I like glitzy, but I don't know if I'll regret it with in 6 months.
I also like very modern, but don't want a trend that will be out in 6 months.
I'm more concerned with the wall tile since that's something I won't change, ever.

I saw a wavy all white tile, very glossy.
Is it too much to do all the walls floor to ceiling.

The floor, same floor through out the entire apt, is very shiny light grey with subtle veining. It's called Heidenberg, if someone wants to look it up.

So basically I have choices.
1. Do the wavy white , high gloss, floor to ceiling.
2. Do the same grey on the wall and put a very glittery accent tile somewhere on the wall.
3. Or???

I want a WOW factor I won't regret. I don't like blah.

BTW, cabinet, sink, toilet will be all white.

If everything else is white I would go with option 2, the grey, with one other color for an accent somewhere. Look at houzz.com, awesome decorating ideas.

Is grey and silver out.
I'm seeing a lot of griege with gold.
I'm tiered of beige and thought this is a new home I think I'll concentrate on grey silver and white.
BTW, I live in Miami so want to keep things light and airy.

I did white with gray marble look tile for floor and walls, and sea green glass rectangle tiles in middle. The bathroom looks very spa like.

And yes, grey is dated.

It has been a trend, but it's also a neutral, which won't necessarily be dated if done right. In my humble, not expert, opinion. You can dress up neutrals with colored accessories.

I don't think grey is dated at all. How does the rest of your house look like? I wouldn't do the bathroom super modern or glitzy if it doesn't flow with the rest of your house? I like simple with a little interest. Think you don't get bored if classic. I just did 5 bathrooms in my house. Which bathroom is this? Powder bathroom?

If you want a classic look I would advise you to skip any sort of accent wall or strip of tile. It's already on the way out and you sound like you don't want a dated bathroom in 6 months. However, if you do want to do something very current then a patterned cement tile on the floors with white tile walls is very trendy, like this - https://s3.amazonaws.com/sbeh-.....4.jpg
Another idea, which is more classic, is to do beadboard and then wallpaper on top, like this, - https://s3.amazonaws.com/sbeh-.....9.jpg
One more idea is a hex or mini hex tile on the floor and subway tile on the floor - very classic https://I.pinimg.com/736x/9f/6.....e.jpg

The one I'm talking about is the powder guest bathroom.
Really I'm doing the entire apartment.
All floors, 2000sqft., kitchen, and 3 baths, plus some built ins in the livingroom/ dining room area.
I've already picked a grey very glossy tile to do throughout the entire apartment, including bathrooms.
I'll post a link.

http://thetileempire.com/product/heidelberg/

It looks darker in the pic then what it really looks.
It's closer to the sample square pic.

I wanted to do something special here but don't exactly know which direction.

Will all white tile walls with a wavy texture look nice? Or too blah?

Neutrals like gray and white are never out of style.

What you're suggesting will probably look quite nice, but not WOW. There's nothing to pop with a gray floor and everything else white.

This is where I need help

I want something that's very nice. But I think it needs something extra

Here's a pic of the wavy tile

The space is not that big, though.

Maybe add something, or go a completely different direction.

Need to make a decision.
