There is an amazing video called "Sid the Science Kid" and the flu vaccination:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tpmiGFxRg4
I bought it on Amazon years ago and my kids have watched it many, many times.
This book is also amazing:
https://www.amazon.com/Germs-M.....81873
I don't remember how much it discusses vaccinations but I think it is mentioned.
My 6 year old daughter is "into" medical stuff as a hobby ... we watch documentaries of doctors doing rounds in a hospital, and we have bought or read every book relating to doctors and hospitals ... wonder what she's going to be when she grows up.

The Berenstain Bears Go to the Doctor deals with this. I'm not sure if that's a little young for her.
Also let her roleplay where she is the doctor and gets to give the shots.

My daughter is 5 and got shots yesterday. She was nervous and so I explained what a shot is and told her all about the time that I had chicken pox as a little girl, and hopefully the shot will make sure she never gets it. She was very calm after that. (Particularly because I admitted when asked, that yes, I had pimples on my bottom too! )
