I used to work at a kitchen and bath store selling (amongst other things) Quartz countertops. Use mild soap solution or mild white vinegar solution.

No vinegar on stone! Yes to alcohol. Use OOTBubby's counter and stainless steel homemade cleaner for incredible shine.

Quartz isn't the same as stone, which is why so many prefer it to granite. Quartz is factory processed -- tiny quartz chips ate mixed with resin and dyes, resulted in a product that Looks like stone, but (unlike stone) does not need to be re-sealed and is nearly non-porous. Solid Surface (a major producer of cpuntertops) reccommends a mild vinegar solution. This is how we cleaned the countertops at the showroom. Rubbing alcohol is also fine, but I would personally avoid it because of the fumes. To each his own.
