We are coming to the UK next week, and our Shabbat plans have sort of fallen through due to a family emergency. It may work out in the end, but I need to be prepared.

So we are looking at hotels in the GG area.
What do you know about the King Solomon or other hotels?

What is Shabbat UK ?

I think we have an invite for Friday night, and we can buy something for Shabbat lunch. Or find a shul with a big kiddush Wink

(and we need four nights - so expense is an issue - we leave tuesday morning )

So - one of my kids stayed at the "King Solomon" a few years ago - not a good review Sad

(Avoid "Golders Green Hotel" - it turned out to be a brothel shock)

The "Croft Court" is fine I think, but financially you may do better by Googling "Yamor Suites" - we know people who were very happy there, and also at the "Central Hotel" in Hoop Lane.

Nsia tova!

There is a holiday inn express with kosher breakfast at the bottom of finchley road, which would be between 20 and 45 minute walk depending on where in golders green you are going

we stayed at the Croft Court a few months ago and were very pleased. Nice service.
We ordered Friday night dinner in the hotel. And we got an invitation for lunch when my husband stopped a man to ask where and when he can catch maariv. On shabbot we got several invites for Seuda Shlishit. There is plenty of take out food on Golder's Green Road too.
Enjoy

I have booked a hotel called Unique Hotel, which is nearish to my cousins. It seems ok from the reviews. And it was the only one that I can cancel if things work out at my cousins. We can always book one of the other places if we need to. My dh needs a minyan, but I am sure he will find in GG. (he is in aveilut) Thanks for all the help
