I want to move and sell our current house. But I'm so lost in where to start. Do you hire someone to do the little repair jobs like shaky tile in the floor and the chipped bannister?
Do we get get an engineer to go through and tell us if we have any major problems?
Find a real estate agent to give advice?

It can definitely feel overwhelming. I would say to start with finding a real estate agent that you trust. He/she should be able to walk through your house and give you a realistic sense of price for your area, and also answer questions about what repairs may be worth doing before showing it.
If you've been living there awhile, I assume you'd know if you have any serious major problems. Otherwise, it's the buyer's responsibility to bring in an inspector to check it out for them.
