I am in professional school and I have a male professor (Jewish but not frum) who was exceptionally nice to me (wrote recommendation letter and all). I am graduating and I want to get him a thank you gift.
I was wondering if you can help me with ideas I feel like a thank you mug is too cheesy, but cologne set is too personal.
What would you give?

When my husband graduated from undergrad he gave a professor who had mentored him and helped him out a lot a note and a gift card to a fancy coffee shop. It wasn't for a lot of money, but I think it was a nice gesture.

I don’t think it’s appropriate for a student to give a gift to a professor for writing a letter of recommendation. That’s part of the professor’s job. The fact that you’re female and he’s male makes it worse. Just send a well-written letter of thanks.
