For whoever was looking for MagnaTiles, Playmags are on sale at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E.....X0DER

Are they as good as magna tiles?

A lot of people have them and enjoy them. Not sure if the magnets are satisfyingly strong. Even with the originals kids can get frustrated by a lack of stability sometimes.
Stick n Stack gets more favorable reviews as compared to the MagnaTiles brand and for MagnaTiles compatibility.

My kids are fine with it- but I find them frustrating. Especially when they make something out of 250 pieces and they easily come crashing down!

Thanksgiving or not, I just ordered a pack of Tombow brush pens for $9.xx on Amazon. It's something I was thinking of trying for a while but they're usually something like $26, sure they go on sale now and then but I don't think I've ever seen them under $15. It might have been prudent to just wait for a $15 sale some other time because I have definitely spent as much as I intended to this week, but... whoopsie?

I used to have them. All broken by now. Sounds like a good price, where did you see that? Can you post a link?

Do you think Stick n Stack is as good as Magna Tiles or the originals are better? I don't appreciate buying toys that I end up wanting to get rid of.

People seem happy with Stick-n-Stack and they get great reviews but I have never seen them in person. I have seen the Magna Tiles (always a favorite, but super expensive) and the Playmags (OK but not as strong) and the Stick-n-stack seems to be a good compromise being better in quality than Playmags but better in price and more often on sale than Magnatiles.

If anyone is an original brand diehard, you might find good coupons at places like Lakeshore Learning today, maybe a "buy one get one 50% off" or something. That's usually as good as it gets for brand name Magnatiles.

I have the original magnatiles brand and we love them. I bought a set of stick and stack from Amazon for accessory pieces but they were awful I sent them right back to Amazon. I paid 80 for 100 pieces in toys for thought in Lakewood. They're definitely worth the money!
