I'm ordering tablecloths on line for a simcha - would a 90 x 90 be good for a 6 foot table?

You usually want a rectangle tablecloth for a rectangle table. Do you want the tablecloth to go down to the floor?

If the table is the average 30 inches wide, the cloth will hit the floor on the width, but you will only have a 9 inch overhang on the length. If your table is narrower then the tablecloth will be too wide. Many people won't notice that it's not proportioned, some will. Is it the type of thing that will bother you?
Also, keep in mind that if it's an overlay then you need the same size tablecloth for underneath.
