BH I just had a baby. My aunt wants to buy a gift and we already bought a couple things that we need for this time around. I can't think of anything else that we really need other than diapers which I offered as an option but she didn't like that idea! She wants to buy us a real gift and I can't think of what we could use. Please share suggestions of mid-priced gifts things probably under $70 or even less that we might enjoy getting from her. If I don't think of something myself she will pick it out on her own and it will probably be totally impractical. Thank you!

We are good on those things. I'm thinking of a nursing cover. Does anyone have one to recommend? I want to get one that will be good

Is there something that will have a longer-term value if there’s something you don’t need?

Whether it’s opening a savings account, art for the wall, etc, something that you can look back on when the baby is a little older.

And mazel tov!

I have the balboa baby and it has very good coverage. I am really happy with them.

If your baby is a girl, then you can always ask for a name necklace, to put away for the future. I think personalized jewelry is lovely for a baby gift even if it is obvious that it wont be worn for a few years--but then who gives a 6 year old (old enough for Shabbos jewelry) a $70 birthday gift?

Do you go out a lot? Mommy mittens for the carriage. I found that very useful as a gift.

What is that?? Just nice gloves or a specific product?

I like the balboa baby nursing cover...

If I have the basics I like to get things personalized with the baby’s name: baby blankets, towels, overnight bags. Pottery barn kids has nice ones.

Totally with you on this idea! I'm super duper practical! However, my Aunt is not like that. She wants to give a gift. I sent her the link to that nursing cover and I haven't heard back from her yet... I hope it is nice enough for her taste.
After I sent that email I was thinking I could really use a new frum brand nursing nightgown... something tznius ... but I don't know how to order that online without trying it on for size and I don't live near any frum stores so I think I'll just have to use my really really old one.
