I'm looking for a job in the nonprofit sector in the NY Metro area (preferably Queens or Long Island, but willing to commute to Brooklyn or Manhattan). I have tried Indeed, Idealist, and Jewish Jobs. Where else can I look? Or does anyone have any leads? I am willing to discuss via pm. Thanks.

LinkedIn. Try to make connections with people in your industry as well as recruiters. There are also job postings.

I do have linkedin and haven't found it helpful at all. Maybe I'm not using it right.

Most states have a listing of all job openings listed with their employment department. These listings can be sorted by geographic area as well as employer type i.e.nonprofit. Check it out.
