Anyone here have an induction cooktop
Which one/model
Do you love/hate it?
Are you able to use your smallest pot?
Or
Do you have to use the EXACT same size as burner?
According to 1 video on YouTube I saw the gentleman was very annoyed with his because he could only use the biggest stock pot from his set.

I am planning to get one so I have been researching.

There is some degree of tolerance from what I’ve read which is about one inch. I don’t use such small pots and pans when I cook so I’m nit that concerned. I was more interested in whether there would be an issue with large pans.

Some things I found important when choosing the model is I wanted one with a true flex burner. In other words, you can combine two of the burners for use with a large oval or rectangular shaped pan. Also, some of them have direct choice of the level of power whereas as others you have to click up and down to get to the right level. That would drive me crazy. Also some models have true timers which turn off the hob when you use the timer. Others are just timers but when the timer goes off, it just buzzed but doesn’t regulate the hob.

I can’t wait to get one. They are much easier to maintain than a standard electric range because there is no heat so nothing gets baked on. Also they are supposed to be as responsive as gas in terms of regulating temperature.

I am probably going with the Bosch model as it has all the features I’m looking for.

Here is an excellent appliance forum on th3 houzz website and I have learned so much about what to look for

AFAIK, induction cooktops can't be used on yom tov. For that reason, I would never get one.

It's not for YT use.
I understand it only turns on when the pot comes in contact with the zone.
My question has somebody switched (due to remodel, etc) to an induction cooktop?
Model?
Happy?
Why?

My choices are regular electric or induction

What I like FROM RESEARCH ONLY
Pros- stated by manufacturer
Quick heat- boils a pot of room temp water in 90 seconds or less
Quick cool down to simmer and back up to boil
Melt chocolate without scorching
Easy clean up since the hob doesn't get hot there is no baked on mess.

Cons- Some people that have certain models say-
Not all size pot fit- Thus the heat won't turn on AT ALL
VERY VERY VERY NOISY
Spots and stain, like water are hard to clean
Malfunction- but I hear this of other appliances of different brands

Before I pay about $2000, maybe more, I want to know if it's worth it
If not, I can get a regular one for under $1000
It's a one time purchase and it is with in my budget.
