Do you take your children to indoor play areas?

I remember a while ago, before I had kids, I drove a friend visiting from out of town past an indoor play place where I had taken my nephews and pointed it out to her. She had a horrified look on her face and said that those places are germ-ridden and everyone gets sick after playing there.

Fast forward to now...B"H I have kids and would like to go, but I keep remembering her horrified face and I'm reluctant, especially because I don't want my toddler to come home sick and share with my baby.

WWYD?

Yes I take my kids pretty often! Bh no one ever got sick. There's probably just as much germs in school. I'm sure they clean it regularly.

Yes I go, and no I haven't noticed any trend of my kids getting sick specifically after going to them. Obviously use common sense and try to go to a place that seems clean and well-maintained, but I think your friend sounds overly paranoid.

I don't but for different reason. My baby was (and is) and In daycare and we have a (communal) playroom in our building. Both have exposed her to all sorts of things. I have no problem with that. Builds immunity in the long run and studies have shown that babies in daycare who get sick often when they're young don't get sick as often as their kindergarten peers

But everyone is different. Do whatever you think is best

Totally go. Just wash hands when you leave.

Obviously if a place looks run down & not well maintained, don't go there.
