My dd sucks her thumb all the time and I'm assuming because of that she got a open wound on the bottom of her thumb. She had it for the part about two months and that doctor said to put a cream on it and wrap it. I tried doing that but she pulls off the gauze and then I have to wash off that cream so she doesn't suck it. Now I see on the top of her thumb it's red like inside bleeding. What can I do? Anyone have experience trying to heal a wound on a figure they suck? There's no way I can make her stop

How old is she? Is she young enough to put on the onesies with the mitten sleeves? It sounds like she needs to allow it to heal at night with the antibiotic bandaids.

Speak to the doctor again but explain what's going on, that she won't keep it covered. If it's a serious wound maybe he'd suggest a more permanent seal that she can't get off? I don't know.
