The article mentions imported cosmetics from discounted retailers. I assume that refers to fake Chinese makeup from Ali Express or wish, not American makeup brands sold in regular stores. And a lot of brands advertise that they are vegan, if that makes you feel better.

arbonne is OVERPRICED You can get the same benefits from natural drugstore makeup, there are many of them. Check out wholefoods and Walgreens. And Trader Joe’s is super cheap for moisturizers, cleansers, natural oils (jojoba, coconut, etc. ) shampoo, soap, deodorant (toms of Maine) etc.

Though I have not yet tried this myself, you can also make your own cosmetics. Google DIY or Zero Waste cosmetics, and there are so many recipes, and the good news is that you know exactly what is in them.
