I am desperately trying to help a tenth grader find a school that is not too academic. In the Passaic area. Shes currently not in any school so this is important. School must be warm and loving. She will be commuting from Monsey (Local schools are not an option for her so looking into nearby options) Any help/leads would be greatly appreciated. This is for a friends daughter.

I don't think Passaic has what you are looking for. The Bais Yaakov is large and not especially "warm and loving". Machon Ora is smaller but very academic.

That's a really long commute. It also seems to be academic, but maybe they track? Maybe she can board there?

Bruriah in Elizabeth has a bus from Monsey and they have different tracks...

Does Breuer's still have a girls high school? It's not in NJ but might be a doable commute...

I'd suggest Bruriah. They have different tracks and from what I've heard, there are many teachers that get involved and are warm...
