I need ideas of what to do with my frozen strawberries.
I need to use them up, I spent too much on them, and next smoothie season (Summer) will be too long in the freezer, I'll have to throw them out by then.
So there are two catches:
1: They have to be pureed
2: Not a smoothie
Looking for great ideas, you get extra credit if you supply a recipe. Thanks!

Frozen strawberries are a really good going number in my house.
Strawberry apple sauce.
Make fruity strawberry sauce over cheese delicacies
Strawberry drink
Add to plain yogurt
Strawberry milk
Chanuka is coming up make something sweet and fun.
Other than the sauce I dont do any recipe.
I add strawberries to any fruity drink.
Just blend and add to yogurt. Blend amd add to milk and boil. Chill.
Add strawberries to apple sauce recipe. Blend. Or take ready apple sauce, add half a pk of strawberry to a large container apple saice. Boil blend. Chill.
My kids love it cut into small pcs. Just plain. It's the biggest treat ever.
We all love strawberries and strawberry flavor here.

Strawberries and sour cream soup! A favorite around here.
1 small bag strawberries
1 small sour cream
Sugar to taste. About 1/4 cup
Blend it all together and serve chilled.

I usually don’t add any water. The sugar thins it out. Sometimes if it’s thicker than I like I add some water till it reaches the right consistency.

Strawberry serbet! Or strawberry pops.
How about a strawberry shortcake?

Huh? Why can't you drink smoothies now? I never knew there is a smoothie drinking season.

These are all excellent ideas, thank you! I'm really leaning toward the sour cream strawberry soup (yum!) and the Miriam Pascal cake idea, but the applesauce idea is equally tempting. I was expecting over the Summer and made smoothies every day until I got sick of them and couldn't look at my blender for months. Now I could make a smoothie I guess, but it's so cold in these Jerusalem apartments, it's just not what I'm looking for right now. So thanks everyone, I'll get cooking.

Ok, I get that. I was wondering if drinking smoothies in December was like wearing white after labor day or something, lol!

I think we should move this to a closed forum for those of us daring enough to use our sn.

Strawberry sorbet. So easy, so tasty
Add some fruit juice and sugar (aprox 1 cup of juice and 3/4 cup sugar to 1lb strawberries, although you might have to adjust to your taste) and blend. Freeze for about 2 hours and blend. Repeat an hour or two later. If you add whip, it becomes ice cream.
