I'm making a new kitchen.
Contractor sent me to pick out handles, pulls, etc.

For the kitchen, the pulls I like only come in 2 sizes.
The biggest is 13".

Is it ok to put a 13" handle on 36" drawers?
Or is it too small?

The kitchen will have 3 banks of drawers in the middle
This means 9 handles, right in the middle.
Will it look nice? Modern?

Do I place the handles in the center of the drawer, or the top?
In my old kitchen the handles were on the top, but they were almost as long as the drawer

The kitchen is a very modern kitchen.
High gloss, white, flat panels.

On the door cabinets, should the handles go verticle or horizontal.
In my old kitchen all the handles were placed horizontally, on the top or bottom, centered, BUT, the handles were very long.

Please don't tell me it's what I like.
WWYD- I want opinions.

When I was doing my cabinets I spent some time on pinterest to help me make my decisions. I think handles should be centered in drawers and vertical on doors. But really, go to Pinterest and search modern white kitchens to see how things look in reality. I do think you should find longer pulls for your big drawers but the other option is to use two per drawer, one to each side. One long one is a sleeker look though I think.

I like the one handle sleek look
For a 36" drawer, what size handle?
20? 24?

It's hard to find long enough handles.
I've only seen 2 styles that come in such an array of sizes.
One I have now, and clothes always gets stuck on the end
The other I'm not crazy about since it will give the kitchen a commercial look, too bulky.

If someone knows where to get long handles, please let me know.

I think you should be able to find long handles in either of them.
I put 12" handles centered on a 33" draws, however, my cabinets are shaker style. For flat and modern I would like it at the top of the draws.
Where are you located ? If you're in the NYC metro area there are stores only for this that I can recommend.
