Deciding between the plastic kind or the wood kind of a kitchen set for kids. Anyone have the kidcraft, wondering if it lasts

We've had one for a few years. So far it's holding up fine.

Ours was still in great condition when my kids outgrew it and we gave it away.

Don't know if it's hard, but it definitely takes a long time. How long will depend on which set you have. We got the L shaped one and it took my husband nearly 3 hours to put together.

We bought a used kitchen set from Craigslist, partially to save $, but primarily to save the hours of assembly.

It took an afternoon for me to put together. I didn't time it but I think it was at least 3 hours. We have the Vintage Kitchen: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kid.....mp;veh=sem

There are a few that have been passed around between different families in our building and they seem to be holding up great for that kind of use! No idea about original assembly.
