Does he have any friends there who can look out for him? Otherwise, the best option would be to have somebody hang up a sign on the bulletin boards there saying he's looking for a bed in a dira and listing a contact phone number.

I hope you find someone in E"Y who can help you, but it may not be the wisest to post your phone number on a public forum. You have no idea who could be reading it and don't want to get phone calls from weirdos (or worse). Instead, you could ask anybody who's in a position to put up signs to PM you for your contact #.
