My 2 yo has feeding restrictions. I cannot give him certain foods, and many foods need to be cut into tiny pieces.
My 9 month old is just starting to move onto solids. He B"H can eat normally and I would like to teach him how to...but I don't want to have to deal with my toddler who will want to eat a "big piece" like the baby.
WWYD? Would you feed both kids the same way, so the toddler isn't jealous? Feed the baby "regularly" when toddler isn't there? Or let toddler "deal" with anger and jealousy?

Honestly I'd try to feed them the same because different will be hard but it really depends on what the food restrictions are and how much it would affect the baby.

I would keep food the same when they are together, and do what you want for each when they are apart.
Your baby won't be adversely affected by having food cut in small pieces - he still has plenty of time to learn to eat bigger pieces of food (my kid wouldn't eat anything but purees until 14 months, now she is in preschool and eats normally, so there's no criteria to give large pieces of food at 9 months), but your toddler will feel really bad, so I would put toddler's needs first in this case.
