Or do you wear something else in extremely cold weather if you have to wear a sheital? I'm looking for ideas.

If you don't want to wear a hat you can wear 180s for around your ears and it won't ruin your hairstyle.

How does it not? I would love to wear a hat; I think they're so cool - uh, warm - but when I come indoors, I need my wig to look good.
So to answer OP, no, I put on the hood of my jacket and scarf around my face.

Could be the size of my head and the fact I wear a curly shaitel, but I can't find a cute hat that fits over my fall. I bought ear muffs and I love them..they don't mess up my shaitel, I can take them off and put them on easily...they are not the adjustable ones.

In this weather? ABSOLUTELY! When I get to work, I go to the bathroom and take off my hat just to look in the mirror and make sure my sheital isn't lopsided or something. For me, taking it off a certain way lessens the chance of it looking crazy.

Maybe pom poms, but I have seen these cold weather (trapper) hats in Manhattan for years and they never made it to BP. Is there a Halacha against it that Im not aware of?

I wear a fall with a hat when not working. A sheital is plenty warm for me.

It totally ruins your wig. I wear a special wig with my hat and leave the hat on a whole time.
