The name zeesie/zeecy/however it’s normally spelled....a)is it it’s own name or is it short for something? B)if it’s short for something, what? C) what is the common spelling?

Zees is sweet in Yiddish. I always thought it came from there, as in sweetie. I have seen it spelled as zeecy.
Actually, on second thought isn't it short for Zissel? Now I am confused!

In English, spell how you want... I've seen Zeesie, Zissi, Zisi, ZC (hate it), Zeesy

The name is Zissel and it means zees sweet. Not zeesa, zeesa is used an adjective form.

Except that we have the name zeesa in our family already for many generations, as do others... So maybe you've just never heard of it.
