Sherry is a type of cooking wine.

I actually have a wok, but you could do this in frying pan.

This is pretty easy and delicious.

Cut up chicken nuggets into small pieces. Put in 9x13. Pour a little flour or corn starch, enough that when you mix it the nuggets all get a light coating.

Mix 1/2 cup each soy sauce and brown sugar and water, add some water and a little garlic powder or crushed garlic or 1 or 2 garlic cubes. Pour mixture over the chicken and mix. Bake covered for 1/2 hour or until the chicken looks cooked through.

Add whatever cut vegetables you like, bell peppers, baby corn, onion, sugar snap peas, carrots etc. Mix with the chicken. At this point I check if it looks saucy enough for our tastes - we like a lot of sauce, if not I add some.

Bake another 10-20 minutes, depending on how well done you like your vegetables. Serve with rice. Enjoy!

this sounds awesome. I'm trying it tomorrow night. thanks for posting!

debsey, can you let me know how it came out?
I made this once before with 1/2 cup each soy sauce, brown sugar and oil. I'm preparing food now that will cook tomorrow and I'd love to know if I can leave out the oil and use water instead.

Sorry, the recipe I had was the same as yours, 1/2 cup each soy sauce, brown sugar and oil. I didn't like it with so much oil so I replaced most of the oil with water and it's still delicious. I meant to write add a little oil instead I wrote to add a little water.

Thanks so much for responding! I'll halve the oil and skip the water.

Probably, but I doubt you would coat it in flour or cornstarch before you cook it. I think first cook the nuggets, then add the sauce, then mix the flour or cornstarch with a little water and add it.

Maybe somebody who knows more about recipes can give you better advice.

I haven't made this in a while, but it always goes over well with my family. It's a light version of sesame chicken. I think I tweaked the recipe somewhat because I don't have all the ingredients on hand but I don't remember exactly what I did. Sorry.

If you've got time, make a tempura and deep fry it. Yum!
(And you can make some for me too, please!)

I'm so happy you enjoyed. I'm going to try it next time without the oil, thanks for the idea.
