Anyone who is familiar with both and can advise as to the pros and cons of Baltimore and Monsey and how the two compare.... I understand that both are spread out with a bunch of different neighborhoods and both require a lot of driving... How else do they compare/contrast?
Thanks!

Do you want in town or out of town? Monsey might be considered oot compared to Brooklyn and lakewood, but compared to Baltimore, it’s definitely in town.

Can you specify where in monsey?
Here's somewhat of a breakdown by alphabet:
Airmont
Chestnut Ridge
Forshay
Haverstraw
Monsey
Montebello
New City
New Hempstead
Pearl River
Pomona
Spring Valley
Suffern
Wesley Hills
Monsey and Spring Valley are primarily Chassidish. While Pomona is mixed and has a nice Chabad community. If you're looking for MO you can find them in Wesley Hills and New Hempstead, while New City seems to be turning out more Yeshivish. So you really need to tell us more about what type of neighborhood you're looking for.

As others have said, other than the fact that neither is in Brooklyn, they don't have much in common. Baltimore offers a much cheaper and much simpler lifestyle. Houses are cheaper, property tax is much cheaper, overall levels of gashmius (clothing, food, restaurants) are MUCH simpler. Grocery stores may be more expensive. It's a large community, but ultimately has far fewer schools and shuls than Monsey, and is united through its Rabbonim in a way that Monsey is not. Monsey also has a MUCH larger Chassidish presence.
