Psychiatrist Lakewood

Can someone recommend a psychiatrist in Lakewood for my 8 year old? We have one in Brooklyn but since moving here we haven't found one local yet. Already asked ds's dr and old psychiatrist and both didn't know. Even better if they take oxford insurance but at this point we'll take anyone who is good.

There is no one here. I had the same exact problem. The only choice is going to chemed, but only if you use their pediatrician or therapist.

I don't use them and I can't imagine switching. We're so happy with my son's dr and he won't go to anyone else (we tried taking him to an after hours clinic and he had a complete meltdown). Crying

No don't go to after hrs. Go to regular pediatrician department. Dr hirsh is very good.

You will have to choose if you wanto stay with pediatrician and pay out of pocket or go to chemed. Those r your only choice besides paying hundreds out of pocket

If your child needs to c a therapist then you can probably use the psychiatrist too

Dr. Moshe Rose practices in Children's Specialized Hospital. He is excellent, on-target and a great diagnostician. Since it's through the hospital, insurance is accepted...
No need to switch your pediatrician (bad idea if you're happy with yours!)

Dr Hizami does not take insurance. We pay him up front and then I submit it to my insurance company. I get reimbursed a % after my deductible.

I know this is off topic, but which pediatrician do you use in Lakewood. I haven't found a good one here.

You may want to try Dr Zaide in Freehold.

You can also ask to be put on Dr. Rose's waiting list

His name is zaidi. And originally Indian. I don't like that. I don't know why. If he's not Jewish I doubt I would go to him.

Dr rose is very hard to deal with when you have a follow up, my pediatrician just told me. I guess I'm gonna stick with what I have for now. It's always good to know of any updates. Please post them her if anything you know has changed thanks for updating

I don't know why a psychiatrist's nationality would matter, nor his religion. I've actually heard that he's an excellent, competent psychiatrist. I have a sibling who works in the social work field who refers people to him.
