I feel so torn.
We bought a house in Lakewood before we knew our son needs help. Now we are desperate to move from our small bp apartment. We outgrew it a while ago and cannot afford prices here. We want to move in the summer for the new year.
We are chassidish ds is currently in a very small school setting and has help in school. Main issue is he needs loads of encouragement to do and complete his school work. I'm worried if we'll send him to a regular big classroom hell just sit in class spaced out and won't do any work. Won't learn anything.
I feel so torn. Here I MUST move but other hand need help for ds.
What do I do???

there is a program called mekor hachinuch. they have a self-contained class in several schools. (my husband is the 5th grade rebbe). he has 12 kids in his class with an assistant. the kids mostly have ADD or learning disabilities which make it hard for them to function in a big regular classroom. you should find out if this is an option for your child. OP R u chassidish?

I heard about it. Sounds interesting.
But I am chassidish. I'm not worried about English speaking as the kriah he just learned the chassidish way.

I personally wouldn’t worry about him learning kriah in a different havara. It’ll be an adjustment in the beginning but he’ll get used to it and in the long run this program may be good for him.

Thing is he only learned kriah this year for first time. Won't it be confusing to change so soon after learning chassidish havara?

I'm sorry. I don't know tuition details but I do know that it's substantially more than a typical Lakewood boy school. I suggest u call them to find out more info.732-730-1221

I don't think it is an issue. My boys have gone from Chasidish to litvish schools and it wasn't an issue. ( not sure if your DS has learning disabilities though, maybe then it would be a problem otherwise he will do fine)
