I'm going to cook a chuckroast in the crockpot. I am sautéing loads of onions. Will brown the meat first and I'm going to put wine.
I usually sautee a lot of garlic too but I don't have any in the house.
What additional seasonings can I use to boost the flavor?

I made brisket in the slow cooker a few weeks ago and it was fantastic.
The recipe called for 2 Tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce (I use one that's OU-P) and 1 tbsp soy sauce, aside from the onions, garlic, salt and black pepper.
The beef broth that it simmered in added flavor too.

Do you have garlic powder in the house? You can make a rub to use before searing the meat.
