I bought my boys the same new balance sneaker but after a few months all the sneakers are still good except for my 10 yr old who is constantly breaking the front toe part after a few months.
What is causing only his shoe to break ?? He kicks and plays like the others but this happens to all his shoes. I need to buy him new shoes a lot during the year.
Any advice.

you might want to take him to a physical therapist who can watch him walk, run, kick.... and see if he might need orthotics or tiny little foot braces (my daughter had them for 6 years and she's graduated from them now but her shoes still wear out much more quickly than her twin brother---- if the therapist felt she should go back into them we'd do it). It's likely something to do with how he moves and not the shoes themselves.
It also could be something simple like at school he's tucking his shoes under the desk in front of him and rocking back and forth.

Thanks my dh pointed out that he does walk clumsily.
