My DS who is 2 used to love having baths. One time the water was a little too hot and ever since then it is a nightmare to give him a bath. He won't sit down and cry's the whole time. Then after when he come out he says not scary bath. I don't know what to do anymore

When this happened to my child, I bought a colorful bath mat + bath crayons to make bath time super exciting and distract.

Many children go through a stage of being afraid of baths, even when the water is always perfect! I never argued—when mine hit that stage, I let them stand up (with one of my arms holding them) and used a plastic bucket to pour water on them. Then I dialed and poured more water. It didn’t take long till they forgot they didn’t want to sit !

I agree with PAMOM. Also thinking: is your child completely terrified of the bathtub? What would happen if you put your child in the empty tub and started with cool water and eventually warmed it up? Does he like pools? Maybe put him in a bathing suit and pretend it’s a swimming pool?
