I do prefer a 2 day in advance notice at least...That way I can work out my schedule to show up!

I’ve been to meets that were lame and ppl kvetched the whole time and I’m not that excited for a repeat.

Funny you say that choco moose, because to the meets that I've attended everyone really had a wonderfull time.
And there was no kvetching at all.

The "good friends" I have here, I knew before, and the women I met here, IRL, have been disappoinging, in one way or aother.

I do come here for friendship and it's been sorely lacking. Most of the time ppl make fun or dodge issues.

If I were ever to go, and I wont, I wouldnt expect more than a bit of awkward conversation at first, and then maybe some discussion about our personal lives.
I wouldnt expect to get into live debate about issues the way it is done here.
CM, is that what you expect?

CM, there are some things that should remain unsaid...I mean really.

How do you expect people to be nice to you when this is how you talk about others, right in their face, no less.

this is not going to turn into a bashing thing!!

I adore CM, and I think she's an amazing woman both online and irl..

We have every right to protect ourselves with a sheild online. U never know who your going to meet or what kind of person they are. Just because they write about things in a certain way or act a certain way online. Does not change who they are irl.

I am sure many of us have posted things as anon just so people do not realize we think or feel that way about something.

CM is honest about how she feels w/out hiding. I wish I had that strength.

I know MM from something else. Not Imamother. AND I LOVE HER TOO !!!!!

You'd think that Imamothers you'd meet in real life would connect with you and somehow have a friendly feeling towards you, or bond with you, specially as compared to faceless screen names here.

When it doesn't happen - when the Imamother actually turns on you and is nastier than if they'd never have met you - that to me is a sort of slap in the face.

It's not disappointing, it's hurtful. And it's happened several time.

You cannot blame me for being wary. Much as I'd like to make real friends, I don't care to be hurt.
