Do you have a favorite kosher restaurant anywhere in the world.
Please share with me including your favorite dish there. I'm trying to put together some type of book and would love to hear some ideas.

hmmm...sounds interesting! You're making me hungry!
When I was in Israel there was a falafel place in Geula that had really great falafel. You could get it in a lafa (eish tanur) for 11 shekel (about $2.50) and they put in salad and french fries. It's very filling and delicious!
A nice, not too expenesive place in Brooklyn is Garden of Eat In, which is dairy (cholov yisroel) and has great salads and other dishes.
Unfortunately, I like to eat out, so I could probably name you even more....

I think there is a thread on this already, look on bottom of this page
I also like Garden of Eden, their onions soup is real good.
I personally had a bad experience with Bertolini's on coney island.
orchedia is also pretty good, their eggplant parmesan is good.

The best steak I ever had in my life was in Le Marais - I think the downtown one, which probably doesn't exist anymore.
Otherwise, the restaurant I most often go to is Yun-Kee. Their Chinese steak is super.

For quicky meals -
Sunflower Cafe. I love their paninis (I was addicted to them when I was pregnant!!)
For fleishigs - I love Subsational - they have amazing sandwiches.
They're both on the web, too.

sarahd, you're from europe and talking about ny places?
buba, dont' make me hungry for paninis now! I'll want to stop off there after work!! Only ate there once, but I remember sunflower was good! As for subsational, you're right - they have good food and the prices are great! If you're looking for a quiet, fancy restuarant, it's more like a Kosher Delight, though.

just there last night & the food was quite good
brachad
as I mentioned in my post -
Nowadays, I usually just have time for quick(ish) meals. I'm on a schedule with my baby and as a rule - I only leave the house at night once all my kids are in bed.

I only LIVE here, I'm not FROM here! And there are no real restaurants to speak of here (well, one only), so I dream of NY places!
