This is what I do for salmon patties im sure it works for tuna as well.
I add:
1 sauteed onion
garlic powder
onion powder
salt/pepper
egg
a bit of mayo
matza meal to bind it together
I shape into patties and then I coat in cornflake crumbs. I place on cookie sheet and spray them with Pam. Bake for about 20-25 minutes on 350. The patties get all nice and crispy.

I used 2 cans of solid white albacore tuna in water. It made 3-4 adult servings.

I just made these and they are really good.

I used 1 can of tuna,1 egg ....and somehow got the rest of the ingredients to make it taste perfect. I think the sautéed onion adds so much flavor. It was the right amount for 2 adult portions. We really like fried patties but are trying to cut back since it's not healthy. This is a great alternative.

This recipe sounds delicious.

I put a slice of mozzarella cheese over each patty. Baked on 400 for 20 minutes. Its yummier than yum.

Do you just mash tuna with fork or mush with machine so tuna and onion is not piecy at all

I started mashing with a fork and was thinking to take out my machine but as soon as I added a little mayo and the egg it mashed fine with the fork. If you saute the onion well there are no hard/big pieces at all.

I like the chunky taste a lot better than blended. Its usually also more crispy this way (trued multiple recipes over 7 years. Dh is a tuna paty lover Wink )

I use raw oatmeal instead of matza meal - more filling

My favorite supper!!
I sautee onions with grated carrots and zuchinni and minced garlic, occassionaly some minced hot pepper as well. Add to 3 cans of tuna + 1 cup matza meal, (if I have leftover rice I add that too) +3 eggs and form into patties, refrigerate or freeze
Bake on 200, sometimes spray with pan but not even neccesaary . Yumm
Serve with baked fries.

Sounds good. Why do you put it in the fridge and for how long? How long do you bake it for?
