mushroom rice casserole in the purple book. don't need mushrooms...or soup mix.
in a nutshell: 1 measure rice to 2.5 measures water
add soup mix or salt and spices you like (onion,garlic, rosemary...etc), I use olive oil instead of magarine (a couple table spoons for 1-1.5 cups dry rice).
put everything in greased dish. cover tightly. put in oven at 350, ignore for 1-1.5 hrs.
