I have three kids who all got the learners permits.I get very nervous
when they are so new behind the wheel with them. I have to sit in the front seat .,help

I have been told it's better to have a professional teach. My dh tried to teach me to drive and all I got was nightmares and destroying a trash can

hey when I teach my kids ... I sit behind them ... so I can tell where the car is ... I'm used to being the driver ...

I agree that driving lessons are best given by a professional driving instructor and not a relative, especially not a parent. $$$$$, but so is psychotherapy. besides, the pros have cars with dual brakes. If you're teachng your kid and he hits the gas instead of the brakes....a pro can stop the car anyway.

Right, but it is still necessary to practice with the parent.

yup you need 50 hours of driving with parent before you can take the road test in ohio ...

in ny , you are not allowed to site in the back seat when you are teaching someone to drive.
