We found out several months ago that my grandmother was adopted as an infant. My grandmother asked me to try to find her birth family. After a good bit of detective work, with Hashem's help I succeeded. For the last two weeks I've been calling these newly found relatives, who have all been extremely nice. Well, tonight one of them emailed me several pictures of my great-grandmother (who passed away quite a number of years ago). So I was able to have a share in giving my grandmother the gift of seeing what her biological mother looked like for the first time tonight.

The melave malka that I made for my Yom Holedes was a success!
Some of my friends and relatives came. My husband saved me by delivering a dvar Torah which I hadn't had the chance to prepare  ,I even got some gifts. They all helped ease the transition to my "new age"

B"H, two of my sons are home this week for a winter break from Yeshiva! I'm so glad to have them home and to see how well they are doing! One already has a phone conference for a Rambam shiur he teaches with his students over the break!!
